Vista Upgrade Advisor Error

I've installed VUA - downloaded yesterday from MS.com - on a Dec 06
Amilo laptop - new versions have Vista. VUA installs OK but on
scanning stops and advises me to download the latest VUA!! Is it
worth persisting with VUA or just go ahead and try installing Vista???

There are hundreds of sob stories on these newsgroups by folks that didn't
do their homework and regretted it. A lot of things aren't going to work. If
your system won't install the VUA, it sure has hell isn't going to accept
Vista.
