Vista Updates

It has been about 2 weeks since I have received a Vista update from
Microsoft. I usually get at least 2 or 3 a week.

Perhaps your Update settings have changed?
 
Microsoft Updates are released on the second Tuesday of each month, unless
there is an urgent security update.
 
Microsoft distributes Vista updates on the second Tuesday of every
month. That's once a month.

Defender gets updates whenever they are needed/available.
