Programs like MS word are not bundled as a part of windows common to
somewhat popular belief. You should have an installation disk somewhere if
you got it when you had xp.

All else fails you can get a package from here for free.

You're a stupid ****ing **** who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a
PC.

Microsoft Works IS NOT PART OF AN OPERATING SYSTEM you ****ing retard.

Call the tight arsed PC maker who you bought your pile of shit from and
ask them to send you an installation CD for MS Works.

Yeah because it's so unfair for someone to charge for product that is made
by a separate division of their company.

If you want to complain, then complain about the price of tickets to
events/concerts.

Freaking ridiculous that I should have to pay to listen to a live/inferior
version of what I already have perfected on a CD at home.

*rolls eyes*

That would indeed be the deal of a lifetime, to see someone provide a free
OS like Linux to a novice PC user AND 24/7 phone support ROFL

It does come with Windows XP, if you get it pre-installed on a new PC, which
is probably what happened to this guy.
Then they installed the Vista upgrade, expecting to not have to reinstall
Windows apps..

Like the commercial says, "priceless" :)
Like so many advance and liberal thinkers this blovating person would
surrender within minutes with the
oft used word "nevermind'

Microsoft Works never came with windows xp. People who built systems (dell,
hp, whomever) could buy it and add it to their systems they were offering,
but it was never included with the OS. Most companies offered it to create
a more well rounded "starter" system for people on a budget and didn't want
to spend the extra money for MS Office.

Not always true.

Lots of OEMs ship without Works Suite.

BTW Yes I'm a top poster, to me I read all the posts in order so for me top
posting means not having to scroll through all the crap to get to the
bottom.

As I said "IF you get it pre-installed on a new PC". Some include it, some
don't. I know Gateway likes to include MS Works, and Dell often tries to
package it..

I could make you a good deal on Ubuntu Linux with full OpenOffice install

I'd even thrown in a KOffice, AbiWord and Gnumeric.

$99.99

Email me for details.

For that matter Microsoft Office or Corel WordPerfect Office, McAfee
AntiVirus, Norton AntiVirus, WinDVD..............

Some folks are tragically clueless.

Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Ebuntu Linux are free with support at no additional
cost. It also includes a massive amount of free open source programs which
include Open Office. Its also one of the easiest of the Linux installs.
There is only one disc to download or you can order online. Very clean
system!
