Hi everyone, I've had some problems with my pc for a long time, can't
remember how long but it's 6 months for sure. The problem is that my pc keeps
getting bluescreen at randomly chosen occasions, and on the bluescreen it
says this:

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your
computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If
this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for
any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or
software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you
need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer,
press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000000A (0x01000018,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x81FCE1AF)

When I reboot the pc, Windows tells me there is an error with my network
driver or adapter, but I have had problems for a long time, and thus I've
been using different drivers without solving the problem. My network adapter
is integrated into my ASUS P5N-E SLI motherboard and it says that there
aren't any conflicts when I look it up in device manager... I currently have
nforce 15.23 drivers installed. All this is really irritating and I have no
idea how I should solve it.

I have searched on Google for solutions, but I can't find anything that
contains my error code so I guess this is my last chance. Thanks in advance,
would be very happy if this could be solved.

Again, thanks in advance

Please ask your Vista questions in a Vista newsgroup, rather than here
in an XP one. Besides your question being off-topic here, the Vista
newsgroups are where the Vista experts hang out, and you will be much
more likely to get the help you need there.

Hello,

Have you tried driver verifier? It's a Microsoft program in your
system32 folder.

To use it you will need to reboot to Safe Mode first. In Safe Mode click
Start, Run, and type in verifier, now click OK or hit enter.

This will bring up a dialog. On this dialog make the selection to "check
all drivers", then exit the program.

Now you will need to reboot into Normal Mode. When Normal Mode begins to
start up driver verifier will check your drivers for problems and if one
exists, a blue screen will occur with the name of the offending driver,
and details about the fault it is causing.

With that information you can update the offending driver.
