Vista isn't working with new DST

I have an OEM copy of Vista Business on my new laptop. It did not switch time
yesterday with the new DST change. I am also being told that my Vista product
code is not valid, although Windows validation sees it as a valid product.
The time control panel tells me that DST will change on April 1. Also, my
Outlook 2007 sees everythign as an hour earlier, even though I have manually
changed time and made sure that BIOS is on correct time.

Did they sell me something with an old beta Vista on it?

there is a big global mixup with times at the moment.. your pc is trying to
sync
with the online TIME SERVER ..

in any case you can reactivate by phone if nessasary.. dont worry you have
the correct ver of
vista

OK< once I ran TZEdit, I realized that my copy of Vista had defaulted to Baja
Mexico for its Pacific Time Zone. They didn't change DST, so I had to change
to US/Canada Pacific time zone. Outlook now also correctly displays time.

Still no word on why MS doesn't like my Vista product code.

Thanks. DId reactivate by phone this AM, still no luck on product code. Oh
well, have sent an issue over to laptop company for them to figure out.

did you activate once and now is it saying that you need to reactivate?

if this is the case.. vista is very picky (far more than xp was) about
activations..

but if your copy is legit you can activate by phone as I said in the prior
post
