Hi,

You can try:
- start in Safe Mode,
- Run msconfig.exe
- on last tab - Sturtup you will have list of all apps launched with start
of OS - deselect all checkboxes and apply changes
- start in Normal Mode

If will work good - suspected will be an app(s) from deselected list - check
by antivirus (even online scanner) and remove if finds an evil :)

Good luck

Thanks. I was able to run windows. I ran avast spyware and virus
programs, yet there seems to still be some virus in my computer. Any
suggestions on what virus program to run. The problem is that when I
run windows, my wall paper automatically turns blue then becomes white
and stays white. The icons appear on top of the white wallpaper. Also
I can't access my firewall protection "due to unknown problem." Any
suggestions? Thanks in advance.

This is most likely a faux conclusion of a virus/worm.

It is most likely a corrupted User Profile/Registry.
