I am having trouble finding the place you said to go to
restore the files that may solve this problem.
I'm sorry to say that I am not so computer literate, but I
will follow instructions preceicely. I hate asking for
such in depth help, but I'm really lost.

Thanks Russ,
I will go and try to restore this information right away.
If it is OK, I'll let you know how it works out.
Again Thanks,
LW

To view faxes from the Fax Console, the Windows Imaging
and Fax viewer must
be your default viewer for TIF files. You can easily
restore that setting in
Windows Explorer > Folder Options. File Types. For most
users the command
line should read:
"rundll32.exe <drive>:\WINDOWS\system32
\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen %1"

No, I don't know what the TIF files are or how to reset
them. Is that what I did when I unchecked the fax
block
in the control panel?
Please tell me what the TIF files are and I will do
what
you say to reset them.
Thanks

Are you sure you successfully reset the Open command
for
TIF files to the
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer?

In Fax Console Inbox it always says the proper
number of
pages. There is just not a way to view these
pages,
no
arrow. Before Quicktime took over the viewer
everything
was fine.
I thank you for listening to me. This problem
started a
few months ago. I have been trying to solve it
every
since.
The Quicktime viewer came with one of the programs
we
installed on our computer and took over the viewing
of
Faxes and Scanned items. I contacted Quicktime at
Apple.com and they said that they couldn't help me
but
the
computer manufacturer or microsoft may be able to
help.
So here I am.
I am really stumped!

One other question. When you look at these faxes
in
the
Fax Console Inbox,
how many pages does each fax contain?

Yes, in the Windows Picture and Fax viewer there
is
no
arrow to go to subsequent pages. This is true
weather
I'm
sending a fax and want to preview all pages or
receiving a
fax and want to see subsequent pages beyond the
cover
page.
That's why I was wondering if the program was in
correctly
or completely.
What can I try next

I'm not talking about the Fax Console. I'm
talking
about
the Windows Picture
and Fax viewer that opens when you double click
a
fax
in
the Fax Console. It
only displays one page at a time and you must
click
on
the arrow to view
subsequent pages.

In the fax console, the Toolbar does not have
an
arrow
for
changing pages. That is the first thing I
looked
for.
Perhaps the fax console program is not
complete.
Maybe
if
I go to Windows Components in the control
panel
and
uncheck the fax box and restart my computer
and
then
go
back and check the fax box this may put the
complete
fax
console in place.
This is really confusing!

Viewed where? How are you trying to view the
faxes?
Windows Picture and Fax viewer only displays
one
page
at
a time. Click on
the arrow on the Toolbar to view subsequent
pages.

When sending a fax only the cover page is
able
to
be
viewed.
When Receiving a fax only the cover or
first
page
can be
viewed or printed.
How can I resolve this problem?
