Video Not Playing Correctly in PPT 2003

I have a video in PPT 2003 that is showing a black box with audio only. I
tried the MCI player test per Austin Meyers using the Run mplayer2.exe and it
works. It does launch a dialog that says Windows Media Player but this is
different from the other Windows Media Player. I also tried a very short
path to no avail. Could it still be a codec issue?

If the video works in the MCI player, then codecs aren't the issue. Try

And can you confirm this is on your computer and not via a projector/second
monitor?
