ppt viewer and video control

A few days ago I posted a question regarding ppt viewer and video controls.

Several slides in my portable ppt2207 show use embedded video. Unfortunately
ppt viewer does not support activeX controls such fast forward, rewind and
volume control. PPt Viewer does support pause/stop/play through links. Many
users asked me to implement video controls in my show--something that seemed
impossible with ppt viewer.

I have found a workaround the community may find interesting.

Instead of embedding the videos in my ppt show I now link the slides to the
individual video files. This action invokes Microsoft Media player which
does have all the desired video controls; and, best of all, ppt viewer
supports media player.

Problem solved!

Vic, I reviewed this new add-in last week for my site that lets you embed
video files within PPTX files but again these files won't work with the
PowerPoint 2007 Viewer -- but it does work within PowerPoint 2007 -- look
