Verifying DMI pool data

I recently tried to install a new Maxtor Hard drive. After
the computer did not recognize the drive, I disconnected
and when I tried to restart my computer with the original
hard drive, it now hangs up at the page "verifying DMI
pool data. Anyone have any answers for this thanks Bob
