boot hangs on verifying DMI pool

System does not boot up instead it hangs up during the post at this point :
Verifying DMI pool
I'm thinking this is a hardware issue. When I first built this I was having
this problem and it was related to my floppy drive. Anyone have similar
experiences?

If your computer is hanging during the POST, it is most definitely a
hardware issue. Strip the machine down to the board, one stick of RAM,
and a video card and start troubleshooting. Don't neglect to consider
the power supply as the culprit, either.
