Using shares on Win2k pc from win98 pc

Scenario: 3 pc`s, two of whom are win 2000 pro and one
win 98. They are all in a workgroup. The two 2000 pc`s
can see each other without trouble, but the 98 pc keeps
on asking for an ipc$ password if I try to access a
shared printer on the one 2000 pc. Please help

Can I use W2k Advanced Server to perform file replication
without using Active Directory.

Put these all in the same workgroup IF you don't have a Domain.
IF you have a domain, make the Win98 workgroup name the same as
the domain.

Setup the credentials (Logon) to use the domain for the logon OR just
authenticate explicitly to the server when you need a resource ("Connect
as...")
