Using RRAS with L2TP

Hi,

I've set up a Windows 2000 Server with SP4 and all security update
available. I'm able to connect via PPTP and request a certificate from the
server (tried with Client Authentication Certificate and IPSec Certificate
in Local Computer Personal Store and in Current User Personal Store). But
everytime I want to establish a VPN connection I get the error message
"error 792: The L2TP connection attempt failed because security negotiation
timed out." Did anyone have the same problem or a solution for me?

Have you selected the option to use preshared key ? If yes, this article
talks about a similar problem
