Using FAST wizard and failing

Just before my previous computer died I managed to use FASTwizard to save
files and settings to hard disk and then save the folder USMT2.UNC to a CD.
My new computer will not recognise the folder from the CD nor after I add it
to hard disk so I have not been able to open the folder and have lost access
to all my files.
Needless to say I have no other backups and I would hate to deprive my
clamouring public from ever seeing my new novel - or is this God's way of
telling me something?
Has anyone had a similar experience with FAST? and does anyone have a remedy
please?

I cannot believe I am replying to my own posting but by carefully wading
through all the threads I have solved the problem -
Download KB896344 from MS Update - select "custom" and search for it.
Download and reboot. Try FAST wizard again. Use the .UNC folder as the
target. It worked for me. Good luck!
