File and Setting Transfer Wizard Problem

I have just re-installed Windows XP home on my Laptop and wanted to just
transfer my seeting from my XP Home desktop.
I run the wizard OK on the desktop, writing teh output to "My
documents/Transfer" on the hard disk.
I then tranfer the the above file using my home network. When I run the
Wizard on the laptop to pickup the setting I get the message " The location
that you specified does not contain stored information. Please type a valid
folder path into the edit box". The folder Transfer contails a folder called
USMT2.UNC and that conatins two files "IMG00001.DAT" and "status".
I have tried writting the files directly from the decktop over the network
to the laptop, system said it worked, but again get same orror on Laptop.
Both systems are running SP2.

I think you have to copy the parent directory holding USMT2.UNC folder if
not he USMT2.UNC and its content alone.

Were you able to resolve this problem? I'm having the same problem and I know
the file isn't corrupt since I can load it back into the drive it was copied
from.
