Using Administrative Tools, cannot turn on Services

I am using Windows XP Professional. I am trying to install Norton Systemworks
2006 and cannot turn on "Symantec Core LC" under Services. WHen I select
properties, it shows service status as STOPPED. I tried to slect START but I
get error #5: access denied. Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong so I
can get Sytemworks 2006 started? Thanks ERY
