WU 5 and XP SP2 RC2 fails to clear antivirus status warning

I just installed WU 5 beta and SP2 RC2 on XP Pro. P4 3.06, 2G ram. Norton
Systemworks 2004 up to date.

I cannot clear a security alert that says "the status of my Norton antivirus
protection is unknown." I have visited the Symantec site and both
Sytemworks and Anti-Virus are up to date. I did update LUpdate. I ran a
virus scan and checked my anti-virus settings. All are green.

Why aren't the security center and my anti-virus on the same page?

Colin;
Because Norton as well as others appear to be waiting for the final
release before making the necessary changes to the AV application.
Once the final version is released, the AV application manufacturers
will likely get the updates out.

In the meantime your AV application works it is just the Security
Center can not verify.
