Security Alerts and Antivirus software?

When I start up the computer the security alert says that my antivirus
software has a problem and I need to check the virus protection status. When
I check the antivirus software status is fully up to date but windows doesn't
acknowledge this?

What antivirus software are you running? Have you visited the website of
the Antivirus programs manufacturer to see if there are updates available>

Have done all the live updates and the product is registered. Windows knows
it is installed but thinks it is out of date - which it isn't?

Hi

Check if there is a update for your Antivirus software that will make
it communicate with SP2's Security Center.

If there is no updates available for you:

Control Panel/Security Center, click on the "Change the Way Security
Center Notifies Me" link in the left pane.

For Norton Antivirus (also some general info in there about this issue):

After installing XP Service Pack 2, the message "Your computer might
be at risk . . . " appears
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...613?OpenDocument&tpre=&csm=no&src=con_web_nam
