when I go to login in under my admin user name it searches for a cd disk in
my drive and tells me there isn't a disk in it --- it doesn't matter what
kind of disk I put in , then it lets me login --- how can I get rid of this?

This may come from software that auto-starts with Windows. See
"How to Troubleshoot By Using the Msconfig Utility in Windows XP"
