User account applet

I am runing Windows XP home edition and i am unable to run
the User accounts applet "Wrong number or arguments or
invalid Prperty assigment"

I need to modify my user settings, please let me know if
there is anyway to make this work

If I recall rightly there are some virus apps that do this in order to
prevent you from getting at what they have done.
