Windows XP User Accounts C/P Applet

Is there any way to change the User Accounts applet in Control Panel of
Windows XP Professional to launch 'lusrmgr.msc' instead of the goofy
dumned-down version that you get when you are not on a domain?

Kind regards,

Not that I know of. What I do is to right click My Computer to select manage
and then local users and groups. Very easy to do. --- Steve

This is for a project in which hundreds of computers are to be deployed to
end users who will subsequently join them to a Windows domain at which time
some C/P components will function a bit differently. This is one. I wanted
to be able setup the system in such a way that it would behave before joining
the domain the same as it does afteward. My domain-joined systems work
differently with this applet from those that are not. I just want to know
what is done to the system to bring about the change so that I can replicate
it.

I don't really know because I never use Control Panel to manage users and
groups. Maybe it has something to so with simple file sharing. You could try
disabling that on a computer first before it is joined to the domain to see
if that makes any difference or not. The other thing that comes to mind is
to enforce the use of control-alt-delete for logon that can be enforced in
Local Security Policy under security options. --- Steve
