USB Drives not working

I just re-installed windows this weekend and now my usb devices don't work.
I have a mouse that works but that is it. None of my flash drives work or
printer or card reader. Whenever I connect a USB device I get the error that
says that windows could not recognize the device. In the device manager it
says unknown device. I re-installed windows again to see if this would help
and it did not. I have all the latest windows updates.

Any ideas on what I need to do?

Did you download and install the Motherboard drivers from the PC maker's web
site. Also any other drivers like Video, Sound, Etc.

The first things that I installed before doing anything else was to get the
motherboard drivers installed. I have installed all other drivers like my
video card.

Access computer management (right-click my comp, manage) and make sure the
USB drives are installed. There are some docs on technet KB section on how to
check this. also check your BIOS there should be an option in there for
enabling USB drives.

Could you please be a little more specific here?
Where in Computer Management should we look for USB drivers?

And do you happen to have the link from technet?
