UPS Problem

Hi,
I have a Belkin F6C120UK UPS, which I have recently changed the batteries in. Since doing this, if I test it by switching off the power to the UPS, the computer and monitor go off as well. However if I run a test via the UPS software, the computer and monitor stay on.

Has anyone got any ideas please?
