I am unable to complete the upgrade to XP as I keep
receiving this error msg on a couple of files. 'An error
occured copying file GDIPLUS.DL to c:\$win_nt$~LS\i386
\asms\10100\msft\windows\gdiplus\gdiplus.dl It complained
on a couple of other files, one I didn't grab the name and
the other is msvcirt.dll Has anyone had this problem
during an upgrade. I've been trying to get this installed
all weekend and I know its not suppose to be this hard.
thanks

Sounds like the CD or the CD drive is flawed. Have you tried giving the
CD a clean? (Rub hard with a soft cloth).

The first question is are you trying to install from an original XP CD or a
copy?
If it is a copy try using the original XP CD or burn a new copy of the CD.
If none of the preceding apply, do a google search for asms.
