Upgrade to XP Pro

I'm having a continual problem with my newly installed pci sound card and the
USB drives. According to Creative Audio(the maker of my sound card) I need to
change the IRQ setting. Will XP Pro help with this?

No. Try relocating your sound card to a different PCI slot.

If you m/board has an AGP slot and/or an ISA slot, do not use either of the
PCI slots adjacent to the aforementined..

Tried that Mike. I have moved it all over the place, removed my firewire and
modem, deleted through the device manager and let Windows re-install. Still
a problem. I have been dealing with this since last December, frustrated.
The computer manufacturer thinks it might be a power supply thing where there
isn't enough power coming into the mother board to run the sound card. Others
thought it might be the a motherboard malfunction. I don't know what to
think I just want to be able to use my USB devices and listen to sound.

Suggestions?
