Upgrade to XP Pro Freezes

The upgrade freezes with 17 minutes left, in the
finalizing installation phase of the setup. It says it is
upgrading programs and devices, but it gets stuck on that.
I have tried Re-booting many times with the same result.
Please help me on what I can do, or even how can I revert
back to ME. Thanks.
