Undo XP Pro during setup

Hello,
I have been trying to upgrade from ME to XP Pro and my
computer keeps getting stuck in the finalization stage
with 17 minutes left. Is there any way that I can pull up
a prompt screen and revert back to ME so that I can use my
computer? I have also tried to restore it from a restore
disk but that won't run either. Please help!

I think at this point you have to format the drive and clean install an
operating system, either ME or XP. This assumes your hardware is OK,
because often failures to install MS operating systems are because of
faulty hardware.
