I am having a problem upgrading to XP Pro and need help.
I have the XP Professional disc, and am attempting to upgrade from my
current platform, which is XP Home edition. However, I get the error message
"Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is
newer than the version on the CD."
I know that I have the most recent version of XP. I can only think of a few
things that would cause this. One, I just got my PC, March of this year. I
also have all the current updates, including Service Pack 2.
What should I do? Is there a way to override this error message? Currently,
it only allows me to just cancel my installation.
Thanks!
