Upgrade to XP home from 98

I'm trying to upgrade Windows 98 to XP Home Edition and my
computer hangs during the analysis stage of the
installation...any suggestions?

check the Hardware Compatibility list to ensure your system meets specs

If the problem persists you might want to try a clean install
