I have re-installed Office97 onto XP. How can I get all my autocorrect
information transferred to the new computer. I have copied normal.dot which
has given me the formatted text. I have tried copying user.dat, but this
does not seem to do the trick.

Also, I was given a 3 month trial of Office 2003, but it requests a
registration/key# from the disc, which I do not have. What can I do to get
access to this trial.

Thanks for any help.

Hi

For Office 97 - you may like to direct your question to the Office News
Group:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.office.setup

You should have received a 25 digit alphanumeric Product Code with trial of
Office 2003. They are normally stuck on the back of the paper CD covers.

The key needed to install should be on a label on the CD package. The
product number needed to activate Office can be found by loading Word,
canceling the warning and looking in Help - About Word. Use that number
in Help - Activate Product
