Updating a Dial Up System

I visit my mom a few times a year and try to update her system when I'm home.
She has a dial up connection so it's nearly impossible to try to get the
multitude of updates downloaded and installed without it taking many many
hours.

Is there a way I could somehow get the updates that her computer needs for
her from my system (having a high speed connection) and then take them when I
visit and install them for her that way? If I had her IP address or other
information, could I some how create a "profile" for her system with MS and
run a "proxy" type of update? I can't continue to tie up her system for
hours a few times a year to try to do this so I need an alternative. I
really hope someone can offer some good recommendations.

Navigating around the entire MS site is not intuitive - can you please
provide a URL to get to wherever this is directly? Or can you provide better
"directions"?

Will this allow me to get the updates that her system needs specifically?
Is her system registered by its IP address so that MS knows the
configurations and last updates that were downloaded? The last time I
visited to download & install updates for her system was in January of this
year.

I went to the link you provided and found no "Find Updates" or "systems" or
"select system"

I also don't know if I made it clear but what I want to do is retrieve the
updates that my mother's system needs using MY machine, download them to a
cd, and then when I go visit her, install those updates to her system without
having to spend hours & days using her slow dial up access

I want to be able to get all critical (and non critical) XP updates since
around the end of January.

See what? This sounds like some bad joke.
There was nothing in your response except blank space.

aakira - Ron attached some screenshots, possibly not realising that you were
using the web interface for the newsgroup and not a newsreader such as
Outlook Express. Screenshots are not visible to anyone using the web
interface unfortunately.

Yes Jane I overlooked the Web access.

The link should bring up a page titled "Microsoft Windows Update".
One of the links on that page is "Find updates for Microsoft Windows
operating systems".
Clicking on "Find updates for Microsoft Windows operating systems" takes you
to a screen to select the operating system, language, and Advanced search
options.
After selecting the operating system and the language, Advanced search
option will allow you to choose a time frame.
