updated USBscan.sys

Our new HP PSC1205 multifunction printer/scanner won't scan as the WIA service says there is no scanner attached. According to KB article 320549 there is a new version of usbscan.sys that should resolve the problem, but rather unhelpfully the article has no link to where it can be downloaded from.

Anyone know where I can get this file; or is it already part of SP1?

The article does have a link to obtain a Microsoft phone number for your
location. If you have the problem the article describes, there is not charge
for the call. Also, look at the note below the link that the fix must be
installed in Windows XP without a service pack installed.

Does this work? I have SP1 installed, and in order to install the new USBsys, I'm going to have to go through another install. Any suggestions?

I have a computer that came with XP +Service Pack 1. I was ready to call for the hotfix for this problem, since my HP 2210 all-in-one won't scan, but then I read the fix can't be used if you have a service pack. Can someone tell me what to do now? Is there a fix that can be applied if XP already has a service pack? Thanks for any help you can give me :)
