unwelcome messenger

In add/remove I have *two* versions of MSN Messenger listed and I can't
remove the previous one...Any ideas how? Here's the info. Runningn XP.
Any help would be great thanks.

Used rarely
Last Used On 14.04.2005
no buttons whatsoever appear below giving options to remove or change.

Hi,

Try booting into Safe Mode then try removing the programs. If this does not
work then MSN Messenger may be one of those programs that need to go on the
list for programs that encounter trouble after installing XPSP2:
