I am using the NEW VERSION of MSN MESSENGER version 7.0 (build 7.0.0777)

i have no idea if this is a bug or just my computer?

try the following instruction below to see if its a bug but in order for you
to see the bug MSN Messenger 7.0 must be sign out and close at first and
follow the intruction below

1.open MSN Messenger and change always sign in as: appear offline.

2. Sign-in.

3.when your log in don't change the status leave it as appear offline,
sign-out and close MSN Messenger 7.0 software.

4. Open MSN Messenger 7.0 and you should see status: appear offline was
change to online or should see online.

5. when you see online status don't change it instead sign-in, you should
still have the appear offline functionality.

is this a bug or is it a failed install from my computer? just notice this
last night when i was using msn messenger 7.0 build 7.0.0777

Not a bug - it is something you have configured.

When you do what you suggest for the first time there is a dialog box that
pops up telling you that you are about to sign in and appear offline - do
you want to really do this or do you want to sign on "online" and a check
box to stop this appearing again. If you select the correct option your
sign on in offline will always be changed to being online and you will not
be asked to confirm this.
