happens is i click sign in and it acts like i haven't clicked it.I did a
system restore and it went back to normal. But again it stopped responding
after 24 hrs(approx).I even uninstalled it and reinstalled .But none are
responding.I installed msn messenger beta v 7.0,and uninstalled it.I Then
installed msn messenger 6.2 and same thing is happening.
Any advice?

Kelly,
It would be nice if you would get a little background on the problem before
sending us on a wild goose chase. Your site, while very comprehensive,
offers no help whatsoever for the current issue with Messenger. And I cannot
find a Messenger Group Forum. I'm sure there is one but I don't know where.
I would guess that many are having trouble with Messenger right now. I've
heard there's a "boatload" of security updates coming down today. If that is
so maybe this is part of it - I don't know.
The problem I'm experiencing is similar to Luv's. I can log in to Hotmail
with my login. I can log on to the MSN's Game Zone. I can log on to MSN
homepage but I can't log on to Messenger. I can log in here with no problem.
I have auto sign in set up on Messenger and it just keeps that little man
waving his flag. Then if I try to go to Hotmail immediately after it tells
me I'm locked out because I had too many attempts with the wrong password.
In fact I had no attempts at all.
Like Luv I'm running the Beta version. I uninstalled and installed 6.2
again. Same results. Different computers - same issue. Auto login or manual
login - same issue. Windows Messenger - same issue.
Messenger is just plain flaky right now.
Any idea why?

Well the "boatload" of security updates do not fix Messenger's problem.
So much for that idea.
