Windows Messenger

Hi,
I was wondering how I can fully uninstall Windows
Messenger provided by Windows XP pro. I went to the
control panel > add remove programs > add remove windows
component > and unchecked windows messenger > clicked next

after all the things it goes through, I return to the add
or remove programs but i can still see that windows
messenger is active. I restarted my computer and it is
still there. I search in the Change or remove program in
the "add or remove programs" tool and cannot find a
window messenger entry.

How can I remove it? I'm want to install msn messenger
six instead.

Thanks
Alex
