Unwanted files downloading on their own

All of a sudden I have unwanted small unopenable files downloading into several different file locations on my computer. They generally number around 83 files and seem to download on their own and without being noticed every time I go on the internet. Ive deleted them all several times but they just keep coming back. I have avast anti-virus,zone alarm for my fire wall and I've run spybot and ad aware, all to no avail. I'm assuming that I picked up a virus or worm or a trojan some how. but I can't find anything regardless of what I try. The only web site that I visited right before this started is one called sreensaver.com that a couple of guys told me about. It seemed like a harmless site but now I wonder. I've tried to restore to several different dates but it won't restore to any of them. Can anyone offer any help? Thanks in advance! "Z"

Hi,

To resolve the problem, I would suggest you to perform the following steps:

1. Check to see if you can remove the program from the Add/Remove Programs
in the Control Panel. To remove the program, preform the following steps:

a. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel.
b. Double Click Add/Remove Program.
c. Check for the entry that is related to the program or any other similar
entry and double click to begin uninstall.
d. Follow the onscreen instruction to complete the un installation.
e. Restart the system.

2. Manually delete the program from the hard disk. Before you do, I would
suggest you to remove any entries on the Startup tab that is related to the
program and then delete the program from the hard disk.

1. Click Start and select Run.
2. Type MSConfig and press Enter.
3. Click the Startup tab.
4. Uncheck any entries that are related to the program that you are trying
to delete or any other similar entry.
5.Click OK
6. Restart the system.

3. Run online virus scan.

What are the file names and where do they download to?
Have you right-clicked one and checked properties to see what the tabs tell
you about their origins?
