I have ie6, the service pack and some patches installed,
however MusicMatch and a secure website keeps telling me
that I need to update my explorer (they believe I have
4.0). I can't get the Windows Update page to work and I
can't go to the IE support page either. I'm stumped.

The same thing happened to me yesterday... (Mar 28) My IE was hijacked (no virus present!) I managed to get rid of all the offending software that downloaded itself behind the scenes (as far as I knoew), but IE is acting totally wierd yet

I cannot close out of IE without Alt-Ctrl-Del, and none of my shortcut keys work. My delete key does not work, either! I have uninstalled V6 going back to the previous 5.5, reinstalled V5.5 (from a QuickTax CD), updated back to IE6 -- same problem with every turn! Even tried the "fix" (going through CTRL Panel -- and "fixing" IE!) Still nothing works right... Netscape works fine (all the shortcuts, delete key, close command, etc. work!) as does MS Word, etc. Only IE does not work properly. Help! The same thing happened to me yesterday...
