IE6 still closing on some web sites

W2K sp4 with latest patches ie6 sp1 6.0.2800.1106 with latest patches
(Pentium 3)

Prior to installing Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6
Service Pack 1 (KB918899) on August 17 2006 my system was <VERY> stable
running for months without problem.

After installing KB918899 ie6 would close on some web sites. I installed
the new KB918899 on August 26 2006 but ie6 still closes on some web sites
and in particular when doing an item search within ebay.

Error Signature

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.0.2195.7006 Offset: 0004d79a

Looking for advice to fix the problem.

Running Kaspersy AntiVirus Personal Pro no virus detected.

Further information. Unchecking the "Use HTTP 1.1" box fixes the problem.
Have tried re-installing KB918899 but ie6 still closes on some web sites.

Any suggestions / ideas welcome
