Browser Detection Problem

I'm having trouble with browser detection. When I go to some sites (cvs.com
is one example) I get a message that they do not support my browser. They
think I'm using the Opera Browser and direct me to download IE. Well, I have
IE 6 with the most current updates ( I think--Windows Automatic Update gets
hung up when I try) and I have never used any other browser. When I search
my computer for the word" opera" nothing comes up. I've run Spybot S&D,
Adware by PC Safe, HijackThis, and CWShredder. I also use Symantec Internet
Security 2005. All problems have been handled. Even when I try to select
Games from the msn home page, I get this message--"Important Note: Your
browser has not been detected as Internet Explorer.
You may view the content within this site using any client browser and you
can download games to play them off-line, however; the on-line games will
only work with the Internet Explorer 5.01 or later browser on Windows 98 or
later operating systems."
Any suggestions or solutions? Have I been hijacked?

Go to http://www.ericgiguere.com/articles/masquerading-your-browser.html and
read up on the user-agent settings. Opera masquerades as different versions
of IE. What version of IE are you running? it could also be that their
browser detection code is buggy....
