Unspecified error

I have a user in the company I work for that sometimes experiences an issue
when he sends a reply to a person who sends a message from outside of our
company. We have an Exchange server 2003 and our users have Outlook XP. We
have a Global address list and distribution groups that we use internally. He
never has an issue replying using members from the global address list. Only
at times when he replies to a message sent from a user from outside the
company, he gets a pop-up message that reads "Unspecified Error". His email
then freezes and he has to quit out of Outlook, losing the reply that he just
typed. Has anyone ever experienced this? Is there anything we can do to stop
it from happening? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lauren

I have the same exact problem in our office. Only one user, (the boss) who
is having this problem. We are using Exchange server 2000 with Outlook 2000.
I have found on other discussion boards that a "inbox repair tool" can be
ran on the .pst file - but it didn't work for me. I am hoping someone,
somewhere can help us both.

I have the same problem. The good thing was the account I was using was a new
one so it narrowed down the things that could be this problem. I was
constantly playing with the signature function on Outlook so it finally dawn
on me that this is related to the editing function of the Signature field
when cutting and pasting your signature from Word. Removed signature, no more
error message. I recreated my signature without using the advanced editing
function and now I don't have the error anymore.

Hope this helps!
