Auto-Reply to use Distribution Lists

Hi,
Environment
- Outlook 2003
- Exchange 2003
- both quite up to date.

We have a 'generic' mailbox which has a auto-reply rule, with Server side
message. That is the only rule.

When a User (User A) sends a message, to the generic mailbox, the rule fires
the auto-reply. When User A is a member of a distribution list (he could be
the only one), the rule does not execute.
How can we make it execute and send the auto-reply to members of the
distribution list?.

You mean a Windows Active Directory distribution group?
Does it matter which group?
How can we make it execute and send the auto-reply to members of the
distribution list?
You can't; the auto-reply replies to address specified in the Reply-To field
of the message being sent to the mailbox with the auto-reply set on it. If
this is User A, it will be sent to User A and not to any distribution list
that he/she might be a member of.

Your lack of detail in your post prevent us from giving us a more direct or
precise answer.
