Unread messages

Hi, I'm running Windows XP, and on the Select User screen
a number of unread e-mail messages are listed under my
account name - however, these are from the hotmail
accounts of a friend who has used MSN Messenger on the
computer and to which I have no access. Is there any way
to remove or reset the 'unread messages' notification on
the Select User screen? Any advice would be appreciated,

Download the TweakUI Powertoy for WinXP from www.microsoft.com
One of the properties you can set with it is a time after which unread
e-mails are not mentioned on logon. e.g. if an e-mail is x days old, ignore
it. This will allow you to keep the e-mail's unread feature for your use but
lowering the value will stop old e-mail such as your friend's ones
counting.
