unread messages showing

Could someone please tell me how to get my computer to stop saying how many
unread messages I have under my name on the start up sign in screen.

Download and install TweakUI for Windows XP. This setting is found in the Logon section.

TweakUI is available from

You install the program and then go to your Start>Programs menu, find
the Power Toy>TweakUI entry and start it. Expand the categories and
look for the "Unread Mail Messages".

If that is too difficult, use MVP Kelly Theriot's tweak:

Disable Unread Mail on the Welcome Screen (Line 100)
