unread mail in outlook 2003

Using outlook 2003 with exchange, my outlook inbox displays unread mail in
which the inbox folder only contains already read mail. How to reset unread
email counter?

Select the messges in the inbox that you have read and right click and select
Mark as Read. If this does not work, run the following command when starting
Outlook to restore the Outlook default views.

Outlook.exe /cleanviews
