Unread items in INBOX is always (1)

Hello,

I have been using Outlook 2003 for 1 month. The number of unread items next
to the Inbox is always the number of unread items + 1. If I read all the
messages th number remains (1). I have checked all the Personal Folders and
there are no unread messages. I also deleted all the messages from the Inbox
folder and the number of unread items remains (1).

This is a small but anoying problem. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Actually. I had accidently deleted my Unread search folder. It had 1 Junk
Mail item in it. When I deleted it it worked fine. Your suggestion lead me
to the solution. Thanks
