Outlook 2007 -no count next to unread mail folder

The count does not display next to the unread mail folder even though there
are unread mail items in the inbox. I've re-created the unread mail folder
and have made sure that the "show number of unread items" radio button is
selected. I've also made sure that "personal folders" are selected in the
unread mail folders properties.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Calvin,

The Outlok Help returned this:

You can display the total number of items in a folder, instead of displaying
the number of unread items in a folder. The total number of folder items is
displayed in green text after the name of the folder, while the number of
unread items is displayed in blue text. The Drafts and Junk E-mail folders,
and the For Follow Up Search Folder display the total number of items by
default.

Right-click the folder you want to display the total number of items for,
and then on the shortcut menu (shortcut menu: A menu that shows a list of
commands relevant to a particular item. To display a shortcut menu,
right-click an item or press SHIFT+F10.), click Properties.
On the General tab, click Show total number of items.
Note To display the number of unread items, on the General tab, click
Show number of unread items.
