Unread folder has mesages that do not appear in Inbox

The unread folder holds emails (unread) that do not show in the inbox. I
understand that they should be inbox and unread folder if they hav not been
read.
 
No, they must show "somewhere" in your entire mailbox. You are refering to a
Search Folder which is filled dynamicly based on search criteria.
