UNmounted disk

Hi

I've just had my weekly BSOD. Along with the following
"Unmouted disk error. Back up and re-format"

What is this and how do I stop it happemning again?

Alistair;
Power off
Desktop:...Open the case and reseat the hard drive IDE ribbon cable at
both ends.
Laptop:... simply remove and reinsert the hard drive.

Otherwise go to the website of the hard drive manufacturer and
download their hard drive diagnostics.
