unmatched files

A couple of people tried to help me with this question, but I'm still having
problems. I have about 30 unmatched files. This happened when I transferred
2002 FrontPage files to the 2003 version. So I did a full publish. That did
not change the status of the unmatched files to "unchanged." So I tried
clicking on each unmatched file and copied it from the local to remote site,
and then synchronized the files. At that point, the "unmatched" status
changed to "unchanged." That was great. Then, I close up FrontPage and go
do something else. Then, when I get back into FrontPage and compare the
local to remote files, all the files in question are showing as "unmatched"
again, with the usual arrows next to them. Short of launching my computer
into space, does anyone know how to resolve this?

I am having the same problem! I did better before 2003 came along!!! What is
going on?

Thanks, Bunnie. I was beginning to think it was just because I am a computer
moron. I still may be, but at least this problem is not just limited to me.
I guess the good news is that the pages that I want appear on the website,
but it just seems like, if the pages are showing as unmatched, there could be
unforeseen problems with it.

have you tried the synchronize feature??
If the online site is all good, make your local files match it
it has an option to synchronize in both directions so pay attention to which
is which

OK, thanks. I thought that I already did this, though. I synchronized each
unmatched page (local to remote, then remote to local). This changed the
status of the files from unmatched to unchanged. Then, when I returned to
the program later, the files showed again as unmatched. I guess I will try
what you suggest next and synchronize all remote files to local. Thanks for
responding.

FWIW, if you still experience the 'unmatched' next time you boot after
following KatWoman's suggestion it may help to know that there are quite a
few people who have the same issue. So it does not mean that you are "a
computer moron". I don't know if it is a server time stamp configuration
issue but I've seen too many reports of the behavior you have described to
attribute it to plain old user error.

suggested, I still have the same problem. I think I will just ignore it.
All my pages seem to load ok (at least, I think). In case you have the time
or inclination to try it, the URL is www.pause4paws.org. Until there is a
fix, I think I will just pretend that all is well. But it will drive me
crazy, just the same.

(checked) determine changes by comparing source and destination files
(unchecked) use source file timestamps to determine changes since last publish
Should I change this?

- that is usually the best selection
But you could try the other one to see if you get in sync
